Application of the cargo ship safety equipment certificate:
Passenger ship safety certificate is applicable to all ship above 500 GRT except Passenger ships
Validity of the Passenger ship safety certificate:
- Interim Passenger ship safety certificate: Valid for 5 months from date of survey
- Full term Passenger ship safety certificate: Valid for 12 months from the date of survey
Surveys:
Initial survey:
Passenger ship safety certification starts with the initial survey which is to be conducted at the time when the ship is firstly certified by a class society
Renewal surveys:
Renewal surveys are carried out at the anniversary date of the initial survey with a window of three
Bottom survey:
Bottom survey of paasenger ships are carried or in dry which is required every two years
