Surveys: International tonnage certificate is subject only to initial survey

Validity: ITC is issued firstly as provisional valid for maximum 5 months then full term is issued valid for lifetime, with no expiry date, only if flag changed, then new certificate shall be issued under the new flag

Documentation: In order to proceed for issuance of ITC, ship owner must submit

1. ITC from previous flag state or Recognized Organization
2. Tonnage measurement if the previous ITC is not full term
